New World Plays, in the No Passport Press "Dreaming the Americas" series, includes three plays: Isabella Dreams the New World, My Nebraska, and Coaticook, along with a foreword by playwright, screenwriter and director Julie Hebert, an introduction by poet, playwright and director Fiona Templeton, and an interview with the author by American Theatre editor-in-chief, Jim O'Quinn.

When Jimmy Meadows loses his job of 10 years, his life descends into chaos and ridiculousness. Dejected, he falls into the arms of a beautiful but neurotic young woman. His neglected wife Lisa enters into a bizarre relationship with a 90-yearold man. Into their lives comes the enigmatic Mr. Poulos. Is he a spy? A spiritual guide? Or is he just an old Greek guy reading newspapers at their kitchen table?

Spark is a play about three sisters living in the U.S. caught in the mess of a recent war’s aftermath. It is about what happens when soldiers come home, when women of little economic means must find a way to make do and carry on, and the strength, ultimately, of family. A contemporary U.S. story of faith, love, war, trauma, and a bit of healing.
