In the summer of 2009, during the final day of Theatre Communications Group’s National Conference in Baltimore, Todd London—writer, scholar and artistic director of the venerable playwrights’ organization New Dramatists—was called up onto the stage of the Hippodrome Theatre to receive TCG’s first Visionary Leadership Award.
