Creativity Fund: Sarah Hammond

Sarah Hammond will work with composer Kathryn Hathaway on their new musical The Romancers.
Before Percy, before love, before Frankenstein, Mary Shelley spent her afternoons writing and dreaming at her mother's grave by the Fleet River in a northern suburb of London. This work-in-progress musical will cover ten years of Mary's life. During this workshop, Sarah and Katie will hear actors sing pieces from Act One, which imagines Mary's early teen years and guesses at her first inspirations for Frankenstein.
Creativity Fund offers playwrights the opportunity to workshop new plays or musicals for up to five days.
