Set in mythical San Pere, Louisiana, “just turning 18” Marcus begins a journey to find his father or the legacy that he left behind. What he runs into is a tempest of emotions colliding with strange dreams, friends who misunderstand him, sexuality that is in flux, a mother who doesn’t want him to grow up, and all while trying to pass Latin class.
