Milk Like Sugar

On her sixteenth birthday Annie is presented with two challenges by her friends: get a tattoo and get pregnant. Her friends would prefer if the latter happened fast. As Annie contemplates her future, she befriends Keera, whose chastity and championing of father-daughter Purity Balls are admirable, yet starkly out of place in the world she and Annie live within. As the play rushes forward, Annie is faced with choosing between the life those around her know, and the life she hopes is not yet out of reach.
