universitas by Herman Daniel Farrell III
Oct 3 2013 - 7:00pm
Directed by Amy Saltz
A potboiler about university politics exploring the generational tensions between boomers and millenials, the infusion of bottom line economics into the academy's decision-making process and more broadly, the impact of digital technology on our day-to-day interactions with each other. All of this is told through the personal story of John Alexander, a 55-year old, African-American, seasoned theatre history professor who has just returned from a sabbatical after the death of his long-time partner as he tries to make sense of these seismic shifts in 21st century academia -- and life.
