In a very small California town in the Eastern Sierra Nevadas, a group of friends mourn their dead with strange rituals that are no help at all. Through hauntings, exorcisms, earthquakes, sexual exploits, and visits to an abandoned mining town, they find themselves unable to accept the losses they have already suffered.

Honey Drop follows a manic poet as she travels cross-country in a rented RV with a young man in search of her long lost son. From back yards, to trampolines, to pet cemeteries, the poet tries to outrun her own demons but finds they travel right alongside her.

In search of her long lost son, acclaimed poet Diane Carver runs away with her fawning protégée Xander in a road trip across the country. As Diane’s husband comes looking for her, Xander must confront the reality of his hero’s frailty.
